Through the comp sensationnt of Oedipus, Sophocles shows the futility and outcomes of defying the divine state. Oedipus served Thebes as a great ruler, sleep together by his subjects; scarce it is his one tragic flaw, hubris, which dooms his existence, regardless of the fibre attributes that make him such a beloved king.
